It is said by many that the world is changing .. that its is way past time for the change.. predictions abound, the end of the Kali Yuga..Nostradamus, Biblical Revelations – but also the time of the chrysalis, the butterfly may yet emerge.. gestating in the imaginal cells in the soup in the pupa.

But where are we now.. in the midst of the darkness.. chaos on so many fronts. Explosions in Beirut, famine in Yemen, bombs, drones, elections, oil spill in Mauritius, lies, masks, police states, BLM protests, politicians posturing, football crowds, quarantine, police smashing car windows to drag occupants out, deaths in custody, deaths in nursing homes, separation, separations, isolation, spiralling mental health problems and domestic violence – the spectre of forced vaccination – data mining and manipulation on all sides…

it goes on..
Almost impossible to predict where and when this might end.. and if it does.. what of the net result – epidemic.. pandemic, plandemic..

Big breath.

There is no point in spiralling down into this despair and disaster scenario. Despite all odds there is something else happening in our world. When I look out my window, the willy wagtail still sits on the fence chittering at me and shaking its tail as if to say ‘here and now, here and now.’ My garden grows, the rain falls, the sunsets are incredible and occasionally the rainbow of hope stretches itself across the sky.
Its easy here in isolated WA.. but inside of myself I know we are not isolated. Our borders may be closed – but we are ever connected to others in our world. All of us have friends in other places – all of us can feel the disconnect.
My WhatsApp feed tells me of difficulty in Kashmir, of friends who have no food on their shelf. Of neighbours taken ill, it is not so far.

And now.. what am I to do about this? Who am I in this?

It always comes back to that question for what else am I doing here in this world but digging and uncovering the ‘Who I am’ and the “What am I doing here?” There is no other question of any relevance.
For if I discover that – or even peel away a few layers and reveal at least some of the essence – then all else can unfold.
It is time to listen – to listen deeply to move toward real healing within myself first. To be ready for a ‘new story’ to understand the depth of the separation that has ripped our humanity apart – to know that this separation which is being highlighted so strongly now is underlying cause of the whole breakdown of our human society. This story says we are separate beings, individuals – disconnected from others, nature and our world.

When we begin to understand within ourselves how we perpetuate this story of separation – that arises the moment we are thrust into the world – and is reinforced in every way in our life – if we really see this.. and seek to write a new story for ourselves beginning with me.. this may be the only possibility for the healing of the whole.

I cannot see what is coming – I can only be ready to write a new story – I can adopt a place of listening – to quiet my mind – to allow the new story to evolve and to be revealed.
To ‘align with change’ rather than to force change to happen. If I protest – if I fight – if I use any sort of force – I join with and agree with the story of the ‘war mentality’. This cannot win. The winner is also the loser – there is no winner in the fight.

The new story must be written beyond the mentality of war. Beyond the fight – past the vision of the other as the perpetrator. seeking the place of peace – seeking the place of understanding of the story of the other – to ‘stand in the place of love.’

It does not mean to ignore the bad stuff that is going on .. when you see that the ‘emperor has no clothes’ it is up to you to call attention to that. But at the same time to be an agent of real change – ending the era of competition – for that is all part of the story of separation.

Inspired by a series entitled Political Hope – thank you to Charles Eisenstein.. who said:
“To serve love, kindness, compassion and generosity – this way to strengthen the field of interbeing” (Charles Eisenstein)
