Who Am I?

Spiritual Activist, Transformational Educator, Health Facilitator and Writer.

Shazar at Beach

I’m Shazar – Inveterate traveller who simply loves to dig into different cultures, find out what others eat, how they tick, who they are right at the grassroots level.

Passionate in my quest to support our Mother the Earth.

Loves to write, loves to take photos, loves to swim in the ocean and dive deep into discussion on the meaning of life

Life is for living, for dancing – for cooking – for reading great works, for discovering inspiring thoughts and most of all for leaving a legacy in every way in which I can.

Give me a challenge – especially one which can make a difference in this crazy world we live in – and I shall do my best to step up to the line.

Being the light – rather than seeking the light is what I strive for each day.

I reach my hand out to you – and invite you to take it – join with me – let’s journey together for a time, short or long, a few miles or a day – a year or the rest of our lives. Come along – it’s a new adventure.

Over the past twelve years, my work has evolved – to be fully focused on service to Mother Earth –  working on water sustainability in rural India as a volunteer with the Sankalpa Rural Development Society in Hubli Karnataka and through my past role as a volunteer at the Shikshangram Shelter for Children.  In May 2015 I began the water work in earnest – when I collaborated in the fundraising and construction of a check dam for water harvesting in Tirzada – a small village near Wardha.  During the construction, I lived in the village with a local family.  An amazing experience not gifted to many.

Prior to the Covid pandemic I led Enviro Tours – fundraising through extraordinary journeys – learn, feel and grow and give back while we discovered the heart of India.

From a friend who joined our last journey to Rajasthan and beyond:

“I do thank you for giving me the very best journey I have ever enjoyed – full of interest, fun, experiences of a lifetime and best of all, loving care and companionship from a dear friend. The memories will sustain me forever!!”
Dr Nan Broad – Dongara Western Australia.

I learned a lot while facilitating these journeys – will I resume now the travel restrictions are lifted? – could be that if you give me just a little encouragement .. hey lets go!!
Life now is anchored in my home, digging in my garden, exploring the wonderful arena of cooking – writing and supporting my Indian family in all the ways I can.

My Past

I have had a fortunate life. It has been varied and wonderful.  An attitude of trust that the Universe will provide what I need has led me to experiment and take risks and venture into places and situations that some may consider just short of madness.

I have had the opportunity to study with many masters, mentors and guides. And have been privileged to work with those of strong spiritual traditions, healers and facilitators of traditional medicine pathways and those with a deep understanding of the clearing of the emotional body.  Thanks to these people I have been gifted a wealth of knowledge about health, healing and nutrition and shown the deep interconnectedness of mind/body/spirit.

Each person we meet on our life journey and each experience has something to give to us.

Involved with health and healing for over 35 years, I originally training in Occupational Therapy in Perth, graduated in 1969 and soon after that, travelled overseas and lived and worked in many different countries of the world.

Prior to 1988, I studied with many world-renowned teachers in the field of personal growth and counselling, maintaining a focus and goal of self-actualisation and the discovery of optimal health and expansion of the human spirit.

In 1991 together with my sister Sahaja Springer, we set up and ran the Sydney Transformation Centre, a multi-functional centre for various healing modalities including holistic medical work, individual therapy and group work. Here we organised courses and trained in Applied Kinesiology.

In 1993 I was introduced to my first EAV (electro-acupuncture according to Voll) instrument a Listen system, which I used until 2001 when I moved up to the Avatar System.

I have been invited on occasion to speak at international seminars and conferences – sharing the platform with others who have given great information and insight.

But things change..   You can read more about this 180-degree shift here.

I believe that in order to create the new humanity that we are moving into – that we must create community and get connected – it is no longer the time to live in isolation.

“Another world is not only possible,
 She is on her way.
On a quiet day I can hear her breathing.”
